A002 Jade Butterfly (2)  (Height: 5.63 cm; Width: 14 cm )

 (Early Liangzhu Culture) 

The body is flat, like a butterfly that spreads its wings. One side has a beast pattern in the center; the other side has no grain.  The bottom is a convex elongate cymbal with two small holes in the cymbal for insertion into the device for ligature ligation.

This device is very similar to the jade butterfly of the early Liangzhu culture unearthed from the Fuquan Mountain tomb in Qingpu County, Shanghai in 1984.This device should be the same early thing.The part of the device with two small holes should be below, that is, the upper part is wider than the lower part. This device is very rare.
