The earliest jade pillow is a part of the complete burial costume jade clothing (ancient name: Zhu-Yu Jade Box). The custom of the feudal aristocracy with "Yuyi" (Jade Clothing) as a burial costume began in the last years of the Warring States and prevailed in the Western Han Dynasty and the Eastern Han Dynasty. In the third year of Wei Huangchu (AD 2222), the use of "Zhu Ruyu" was prohibited (see "Three Kingdoms" - - Wei Wendi"), "Yu Yi" was not found in the tombs after the Wei and Jin Dynasties. Why do the ruling classes of the Han Dynasty use "Jade Clothes" as a burial service? On the one  hand, it is to promote the rank and identity of the feudal aristocracy, on the other hand, the superstition "Jade" can save the bones immortal!

Although the Han Dynasty has abolished the jade clothing, the jade pillow still appeared in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and it was more popular in the Tang Dynasty. However, the Tang Dynasty multi-made ceramic pillows, because of the difficulty in making large jade pillows, there are not many sculpture products.

In the Tang Dynasty, there was the legend of the Emperor Ming Emperor’s dream of the Heavenly Palace, which showed that the royal family was extremely admired for the heavenly gods! The golden boy and the girl are close to the love of the Jade Emperor, so the royal family is admired for their love!

This golden boy's eyebrows are clear and beautiful, and the jade girl looks beautiful, and all of them are sultry and sleek, so comfortable and very cute.

The right hand of Jintong and the left hand of the jade girl are all holding the commonly used objects of Xianjia. The sleeping pads are carved on all sides with the pure lotus pattern that the fairy loves. In the Tang Dynasty, it was often adorned with flowers, sunflower patterns, treasures, lotuses, peony, etc. It actually flourished in Han, and gradually grew in the North and South Dynasty, and flourished in Tang. Therefore, as mentioned above, this pair of jade gold boy and girl is undoubtedly a Tang device.
