The Jade Pots are made of Khotan black jade, which is used in the royal palace of the Jin Dynasty. The pair consists of three parts: the jade cover, the movable beams and the body.

Kim is the local government established by the Jurchen family and the Han nationality. Under the influence of the Northern Song Dynasty, the system of gold ceremonies and swearing, there is a set of ritual jade, basically similar to the jade in the Northern Song Dynasty. The jade material is obtained from the tribute to the tribute or through the Xixia.  

 The ancient black jade is called "Xuanyu"( ink jade):, which is considered to be one of the best jade materials for singularity, township, disaster relief and good fortune.

The following is the craft sculpture of this pair of ink jade pots:

(1). There are ten poetry words caved on the beam , the beam is movable.                                                   (2). The lid of the pot: The four turtles of the cover are floating above the lotus leaf. The theme above the turtle leaves is auspicious. said: "The tortoise, there is a spiritual animal. The king's conduct  is good and respectable. There are fishing and hunting mountains and rivers, from time to time. Five colors are vivid, three hundred years old turtle swimming on the leaves." The leaf is the  lotus leaf, which coincides with the pattern of the ink jade cover. Therefore, this jade cover is showing "the ruler is a high-spirited person", and the emperor is praised.                                                                                            (3). The Body: Two groups of flowers and two groups of poems in the inscriptions, and the four-character words of  "The Palace Court dedicated " is carved the bottom of the pot.

The lid of the pot: The hollow carving of the sea east Qing chasing the swan. Haidongqing, also known as the eagle owl and the spit eagle, is mainly grown in the Heilongjiang River basin. It is small and sensitive, flying like electricity, and brave. Since ancient times, it has been loved by all ethnic groups in Northeast China. People are domesticated to kill wild geese and swans. The pot is engraved with sea holly chasing, so that the swan flies into the bush. This kind of ornamentation has been seen in all generations of Liao, Jin and Yuan, and there are also unearthed objects, but no later discoveries have been made. In the ancient jade of the Jin Dynasty, it was preserved in the museum, including the swan-tailed tail of the sapphire, the swan ring of the sea-green swan, the swan ring of the white jade, and the sea swan ring, all of which are based on the theme of Qidan Jurchen" Chun-Nai-Bo", named "Spring Water Jade".                                                                                                                                                (3). Body: Inscribed two groups of fairy children. A group of golden boys and girls in the ethereal seas are relatively happy. In the upper right of a fairy, there is a bat flying in the sky, meaning auspicious and happy; another group of fairy children in the sea of clouds, facing the beautiful flowers The pleasant scenes in the viewing are full of joy and dance. The other two are also inscribed poems; the bottom of the pot is also the four-character version of the  "The Palace Court Dedicated ".

Through the research on the Liaojin jade, Khitan and Jurchen have been accepting the advanced Han culture in the long-term exchanges with the Han people, and gradually gained integration. This pair of royal gems of the Jin Dynasty is indeed very rare. It is a glorious and magnificent artistic treasure of the golden age! It provides in-kind information that is extremely valuable and can be used to study the Golden Age of Jim Dynasty. It has great historical significance and value!
